One of the Vauxhall-based institutions that has moved elsewhere to make way for pricey flats is the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, until recently of 1 Lambeth Walk, and now settling into new digs across the river at 66-68 East Smithfield.
The departure of RPS is a sad loosening of the centuries-old ties between Vauxhall and medicine. The Society, however, leaves a superb audience-participation reminder of that link in the form of its ‘Lambeth Pharmacy Walk’ leaflet, charting three healthy local medical history walks of between 2.5 and 5km.
